The following is a lot - read / scan through the information and then decide how (if) you want to proceed.Ĭonsidering the length of time the installation takes (download speed), I would (were I you) poke at this a bit before I stripped it all out and started over. It is also giving me these very same messages.Īnd since Print and Scan Doctor says there is a problem, I'm here asking for help getting this software installed correctly so I can use my scanner.Įrror Message from PaintShop Pro like a vicious circle. I had used it very successfully for almost 10 years before upgrading to the newer version. At first I thought maybe it was PaintShop Pro so I went back and found my old installation CD for PaintStop 9 and re-installed it. I bought PaintShop Pro specifically for it's scanning ability and have happily used it for years. How can I get the Scan software installed that gets this printer recognized as a WIA device. Hopefully you can see this perpetual loop that going on here. I said yes and it downloaded 106mb, another two hours later, etc, etc. So I ran Print and Scan Doctor again and it said it didn't find any Scan Software on my computer and asked if I wanted to install it. I rebooted and tried my scan software, it's Corel's PaintShop Pro 2019, if you are familiar with it. It took 2 hours on my slow internet connection and then it seemed to install it. It asked if I wanted to install the full feature drivers and I said yes. So then I selected the HP printer and I ran Print and Scan Doctor and it said it didn't find any Scan Software on my computer. All the others seemed to run okay, at least there weren't any error messages and they said the install completed. The firmware said the printer was up to date. Then I downloaded all the drivers, Basic, Full Feature, and Firmware, and Print/Scan Doctor from the HP website. I have software that lets me scan from the printer but it doesn't work and it did a year ago with a different printer.įirst thing I did was uninstall the HP printer and reinstall it.
